レトロ・サイドビューアクション・難易度ランキングは、海外の方々も参考にできるように英文で記載しています。
もちろん、日本国内の検索ワードにも引っ掛かるように邦題も付記しています。
2013年度冬版以降は、
・ハード混載でランク昇順
・当サイトで過去に格付けを行った作品を思いつくものすべて記載
というランキングのみを掲載しています。この理由は、

・以前までは国内SFCやFC、GBの個別ランキングを掲載していましたが、現在となっては無意味です。
　低いレベルのランキングに固執しているのは、まさに「井の中の蛙」でしょう。
・人が難しいと思いし作品の全てをクリアーするほどの時間は確保が困難なので、
　少しでも多くのタイトルを記載しておくことにより、リストに無き作品も、閲覧者が各自で
　その難易度の「格」を推定しやすい。
・私 管理人がクリアーできそうもないと中断している作品のランクには「?」が付いている。
　ハード問わず、常人がクリアーを断念しやすいタイトルが一目瞭然になっているというわけ。
　ということは、
　今から「誰もクリアーしていないような」激ムズゲームに挑戦したいという人は、
　既に誰か（例えば私とか）がクリアーしたようなゲームを選ぶ必要はなく、
　最初から、ランクに「?」の付いているタイトル・モードを選べば早い、ということになります。時間を節約しましょう。
　他人がクリアーできるゲームに挑戦して「あ、自分もクリアーできるわね」といった遊び方は、
　単なる「ウォーミングアップ」であって真の「挑戦」ではないということです。
　それが嫌なら、以上の表に記載のない激ムズゲームを新規に探すという遊び方しかありません。

尚、番外タイトルに関して「どちらが上だと思う」云々の議論も時間の無駄ですので非・奨励です。
そのような目糞鼻糞の争いに注力するくらいなら、ランクに「?」の付いたタイトルに尽力しましょう。
